Hi! – I’m a Petroglyph! I was made on rocks thousands of years ago by someone (probably a man) using pictures to tell his exciting story.
Have fun making your own pictograph, and we can pretend it’s really on a rock wall in a special place.

If you have a phone or are aware of images in the world today, you know that emojis expressive effects are used by almost everyone. These methods or techniques of relating information or telling a story are not new. If you look at the above examples, you do not see emotion portrayed in any of the symbols the Arapaho used during early American pre-history.
Imagine a story from your life or something you remember from a dream. You have a piece of animal hide in front of you and tools to write your story. Use the symbols above or make up a few of your own to tell your tale. A legend might be necessary if you make up your own. Be prepared to tell your story!
